The Oscar Mike Foundation (OMF) was created by veterans, for veterans. “Oscar Mike” is military radio lexicon for On the Move a signal of readiness, action, and forward momentum. We built OMF to bring that same clarity to the transition process. After experiencing the confusion and frustration of navigating the VA and understanding benefits ourselves, we turned our lessons learned into a mission: to make the transition clearer, easier, and more empowering for every service member and their family.
The Oscar Mike Foundation empowers veterans to stay “On the Move” as they transition from military to civilian life. Founded by veterans, OMF provides clear, accessible, and comprehensive information that helps service members understand their benefits, navigate the VA system, and take confident steps toward their next mission. We ensure no veteran or family member faces transition alone because movement, purpose, and readiness don’t end when the uniform comes off.
